“You must learn to let go. Release the stress. You were never in control anyway.”
― Steve Maraboli, Life, the Truth, and Being Free

Focusing on a person’s worth and how they can feel emotionally, I am interested in how certain feelings or character traits are hidden from view, a sense of control. Sometimes these emotions and feelings cannot be contained.

The found and unwanted objects I use for my constructions are mainly plastic I melt and mould. I want to give the objects a new purpose and function to make them worth something again by manipulating their appearance. The objects material characteristics represent the emotions I want to put on display – unruly and unpredictable within the process I use. I use the process as therapy to create sculptures that represent the hidden emotions I continue to hide.

My aim is to control the uncontrollable, literally and metaphorically.
